MacBook Pro 16" M1 Display: How Much Darker/Shadow Edges Is Normal?

As per title. I notice some darker edges around the screen, like a shadow across the edges. It's not a huge area but still, once you notice it...

Are there screens that are 100% perfect, no shadowy edges? I wonder what is the acceptable amount in these mini-led displays.

This is a property of mini OLED. Every M1 iPad Pro and 2021 MacBook Pro will have some form of it.

Did the edge shadow lessen with the release of the M2? Or is it still as noticeable?

As someone with a 14" MacBook Pro, and who had a 12.9" iPad Pro with the XDR display for a couple weeks, it's just the technology. They both had the same issue in the exact same way. It's not ideal, but I certainly don't think you've been saddled with a screen that's worse than everyone else's.

Mini LED, not OLED.

And yes, this is normal for miniLED displays, they are all like that in iPads and Macbooks.
