Anyone else get this?

After my MBP sits for a while and I go to pick it up, I get a slight creek sound/feel at the hinge.

Cannot create once picked up, shut lid and try again.... bizarre

any hoo, anyone else or is this just the personality of mine ?

Some make that noise. It’s part of your machine’s personality and is normal.

It might just take a little bit for any lubricant on the hinge to wear in. Also, is there any association with usage, time of day, or other possible heat related factor and the noise.

Usually after not using laptop for hours, so cool. Feels/sounds maybe center hinge ? But once pick up shut lid and try to recreate it is good. 100% recreatable after sitting for a while

Actually makes sense. There are no screws in the middle by the hinge like my Macbook Pro 2014 had so my guess is just design...

ok. Isolated it... It is definitely the center hing , maybe 2 inch area that makes the noise.

Thanks @theapplehead for your feedback.

LOVE this laptop... I have until 1/8/20 holiday return but as of now plan to keep
