i opened my 2007 to replace the DVD Drive however the new part i got didn’t fit in and was a little too thin, so i put the old one back to how it was. luckily, a few tries with a DVD lens cleaner surprisingly fixed the old one.
however, the keyboard cover will not snap back into place and the top lid has trouble closing. 8 didn’t want to open it again and try to mess with it myself before asking, in case i damaged it further. here’s some photos of how it looks.
