Again, is the outer casing (top cover of display, outer casing) more reflective than the 2010 models? From these photos it looks like the outer casing is glossy and reflective, where the previous models were just matte brushed aluminum.

It must be the plastic wrap

Can you encode the Snow Leopard welcome video using the Apple TV 2 preset (Handbrake 0.9.5) and post the average FPS. Really interested in the performance difference.

Location of the video:

Open Terminal.app and type:

There is an option to turn graphics switching off and just use the top spec. Don;t know if this is new over old gen as I didn't have one. I've been using it for a while and installed updates etc and it's lost only 1% battery.

Looks exactly the same, no point in unboxing it. Would be worth more if you ran speed tests on it.

Currently running cooler than the imac idling at 30c. imac at 40c.

Edit: Memory usage is quite high, Over 25% idling. guess it's the GPU.

Just got home with my 17".

I called the Trafford Centre store and they told me no stock till tomorrow. I called again, they said they had them. I got there and they said they weren't selling them till later. I asked someone else and they sold it to me!

Can you confirm that the palmrests edges are not as sharp as previous model. I think they are a little bit tappered from what I can see in your images

With the 64-bit test I saw over 11k. Even the new 13" i5 is over 6k, which slightly edges out my first gen i5 Windows desktop. Can't wait to get my new one..should have just went to the store.
