Macbook Pro 17" -- Screen Not Turning On

Woke up this morning, turned on MBP - screen not powering up, but the laptop is turning on fine.

its a 17" Santa Rosa 2GB Ram, 2.4ghz Core2Duo

anyone help?

or should i go to Apple Store

If you live close to a Mac Store, and are still under warranty, I'd take it in. If you aren't near a Mac Store, and still under warranty, call it in and your AppleCare Agent will get take care of you. 🙂

could be a dead GPU. even if it is out of warranty, take it to an apple store or a service center. They should be able to tell. GPU problems are covered for an extra year after purchase.

Do they do repairs in the apple store over the weekend?
I was told that they had the part in store and wouldn't have to mail it out.
