Yeah, I know they offer them or heard that at least... I'm just wondering if it's even worth it. If the black Friday deal is $100 off and I'll get $200 off for an edu discount then I won't waste my time going there on that day.

If you think about it the 2.53ghz mbp model is the best price/performance.

Because the 2.53ghz mbp already comes with 4gb of ram and a 320gb hdd, which if you want to upgrade would cost you an additional $150 (4gb of ram) on top of the $2055 (after $1999 + student discount + taxes) making the 2.4ghz model cost around $2200.

So basically for an additional $200 bucks more for the 2.53ghz model you can get it the 320gb hdd, 4gb RAM, 2.53ghz, 9600m gt with 512mb of vram and 6mb of cache which helps out alot in overall performance, especially now the new mbp's have a 1.7 ghz frontside bus.

What I meant was that I don't think you can use them together. If you can then that would be well worth it.

well ,if your entitled to a edu discount I dont see any reason why not , it's a sale day and I would find it hard to take if I was entitled to the edu discount and went instore but they wouldnt let me use it on a sale day

i say go for it , or at least give em a call beforehand .

Wow, that's a really good deal you got! How did you get an apple tv too?! I ordered mine online the day they were released, used an educational discount and spent quite a bit more than you did.

I'm about to get a MacBook for my wires parents (they live out of the country and it's cheaper here) so if there's something you did to get a better deal let me know so I can save them more money.

Does anyone know if I should get a new MacBook on black Friday or use an educational discount, which is better?

They just had a deal going if you bought a MBP before 30th Nov you got a free Apple TV.

Im expecting my MBP will arrive sometime next week.
