Hey great review! I'm not done reading yet, but I wanted to add one thing:

You said the trackpad sometimes stops responding. Go into your system preferences and check if "ignore accidental trackpad input" is checked. Uncheck it.

I found on my previous MBPs that having this on would make the trackpad incredibly annoying.
