I just purchased a early 2008 macbook pro new 2.6ghz 7200rpm 15.4".

I have a couple of problems

1)
I received it on January 7th. the battery arrived with no power. I charged it and it was working fine. I then Installed Coconut Battery, and it said that it is only 98% capacity after 3 cycles.

Current Battery Capacity 5516
Original Battery Capacity 5600

So I decided to do a battery calibration. But I still get the same result. after 9 cycles.

Is this normal?

2) I hear , not often, some clicking noise from the HDD. It is difficult to explain the noise, but I have heard it before from my old sony vaio, and i had to change the hdd cause it crashed. Never the less is not very often.

Should I have it checked or is this normal.?

Additional information:

I run the Xbench Test and I got 134.97. Is this any good?

I upgraded the ram from 2GB to 4GB using the low latency one from Corsair.

The Retouch Artist Speed Test takes 40s. (48s with 2GB)

How do this numbers compare to the new unibody?

Thank you all

Behind you...!
I have the same laptop.

The battery will be on 97% - 99% for like 80 cycles so yeah don't worry.
And I occasionally here the HDD noise too. Its not often and not loud. I dropped my laptop a few months ago and started hearing the noise then. So when i had the bottom case replaced I asked apple to look at the HDD as well. They said it was fine and not to worry.
