Macbook Pro 2007, ATV 1 gen audio streaming

Hi everyone, a newbie question. Is there a way to get an old Macbook Pro (A1226, 2007) to stream audio through ATV 1 gen to a stereo amplifier (through RCA) or a DAC (through optic)?

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
