Macbook Pro (2008model) but 2009 built?

Hi, I just checked my make via serial number and the info said that my make is an 2008 model, but built in march 2009, can that really be true?

Yes. Your model was introduced as a late-2008 (October) model and could've been built early 2009 before Apple refreshed it and bumped up the specs in early-2009.
