I have a Macbook Pro , Logic board 820-2523-B EMC 2324 and a 3.06 cpu

One day it just shut down, and then when trying to reboot would just be stuck on the Apple logo

I tried it without battery in , and with battery in. The light is green on the charger.

I then decided to change the Heatsink, and now it won't even power on.

I am wondering if I should change the DC IN Power Jack Board Cable , or what would you recommend I try next?

Should I just get a new Logic board and CPU? Not sure what I should try.

Thanks for any help. If you need more info let me know.

You changed the CPU on a macbook Pro? That would require advanced microsoldering skills, as these CPUs are soldered.
And no 2009 Macbook pro has a clock speed of 3.06ghz. Are you talking about a Mac Pro?

Sorry I meant I changed the Heatsink. My bad it was a typo. Thinking one thing, and typing another.

This was a reconditioned Macbook pro when I bought it. I know it was 2009 as that was stated when I bought it, plus the parts say 2009. It is a Unibody I believe.

I have pictures of all the parts inside. I just have to transfer them to my pc, if that helps. I could upload them.

It is a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009) according to the Apple Warranty website

I don't see any damage on the Logic Board

I am just going to buy another Logic board and will report back

I changed the Logic board and still won't power up

The light on the charger is always green. Is there supposed to be a light illumination on the Power button?

I am wondering if its the charger or try changing the DC Power Jack ?

UPDATE: I managed to get the Macbook to boot up by using the power pads on the logic board

On mine, I had to use the 5 pin from the left on the keyboard and the ground

It starts to load and gets about 3/4 of the way and shut down

So now I am wondering is it the keyboard or perhaps hard drive issue?

Wow, can't believe how much time has gone by, Just was too busy to spend a day changing out the keyboard.
I ended up having to replace case and keyboard as a few of the keyboard screws were stripped and wouldn't come out

Anyhoo I am currently changing out parts, and I broke the Broke this part below and says AMPHENOL HF and on the left of the BT and Wifi card. This green board is just under the DVD drive and connected to the BT card

Does anyone recognize it and know a part number, or is it needed if I don't care about Bluetooth. I seen one on Ebay in the UK but it is not quite the same, but at least that one has a Part # on it. Mine doesn't

I am thinking I don't care about BT, but will just go ahead and put it back together on my day off
