MacBook Pro 2010 hard drive not recognised after battery was replaced, worked for one boot and then had a box with a question mark in it just wondered if resetting the PRAM would resolve the issue.

Thanks in advance

This model has a very flaky SATA cable. It probably has been dislodged during the battery change and may now be broken, they are $20 on Amazon.

You might want to use the opportunity to add an SSD while you are there as well, if you haven't already, they make the 2010 an almost modern computer And a 6 year old HDD Is just waiting to fail.
