Hi,

I have MacBook Pro 2011 i5.
Safari doesn't display videos properly. But Chrome displays the same videos properly.
Please check attached photos. Left side - Chrome, right side - Safari.

I installed fresh copy of MacOS (El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra) but it didn't resolve this problem.
I also replaced the HDD and instaled MacOS on blank HDD. Safari still doesn't display videos properly.
I did reset NVRAM and SMC.
Could you help me?

Most likely chrome does VP9 codec software decoded and safari x264 hardware accelerated. Check CPU load, if it differs greatly between them, it's your dedicated GPU dying.

Safari uses your Intel HD graphics and Chrome uses your AMD Radeon. Read somewhere Chrome dropped
support for the Intel card on the 2011 MacBooks Pro.
