I upgraded to High Sierra when it came out and now whenever my Macbook Pro is asleep for a long period of time and I open the lid, it restarts twice instead of just going to the login screen.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I have noticed the same issue with my MBP 2015 13" I also notice a strange screen flicker when waking the machine up since up grading to HS. I assume something in the video card drivers are not liking 10.13. Sigh should always wait for x,x,1.

I have a different issue, after waking from sleep the screen goes black. As in, it never comes back on.

The only way out of it is to hard press the power button for a few seconds and restart the mac.

Any help appreciated.

Install the High Sierra patch that Apple issued yesterday to see if that helps. I essentially had the same problem with my iMac after installing High Sierra, only difference was my iMac restarted instead of going into sleep mode. It's now not sleeping on command as the hard drive will not spin down as before.

I think it's fixed now, I did the patch last night and was away all day today and just got on it now and there was no issue, phew!
