Hello,

I am looking to purchase a MacBook Pro 2015. I've attached the spec with the photos.

Could anyone tell me if I'll be ok to edit 1080p video on it with no problem. Also would I be able to run premiere pro or final cut?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Yeah something weird is going on there. If I remember correctly, there was no Early 2015 15", only the 13" got updated. The 15" came a few months later and is designated as Mid 2015.

That combined with the odd RAM speed and graphics smells very fishy. I'd avoid this, OP.

But to answer your question, if you do find a suitable 2015 15", it should be perfectly capable of HD video editing (especially on FCPX as it is so well optimised).

"Don't all Pro's come with 16GB standard?"

Not in 2015.
My 2015 MBP 13" came with 8gb of RAM and a 256gb SSD.

And... yes... you can edit 1080p video just fine on a 2015, Final Cut Pro works well.
4k? Probably not so well...

1067MHz RAM and 288MB of VRAM? That’s not a 2015 MBP. That’s a scam.
If the user bought a 13"MBP, sounds right. Besides, if you look closely it clearly states Intel HD Graphics. Not all MBPs have dedicated GPUs. RAM Speed is dependent on the sticks used to upgrade. If the user inserted 1067 MHz speed sticks, then it checks out. However, that would be gimping the CPU.

I'd ask the seller for more information regarding other specs.

Which 2015 13” MBP comes with modular RAM again, or RAM at 1067MHz? And yes it does state HD Graphics, which is yet another problem as it should say Intel Iris 5200 or whatever on the later models.

Hell for that matter, what 13” MacBook Pro even says 15” Early 2015 in the About This Mac? Did you see the picture? Is this really not striking you as odd?! It’s clearly a scam as there’s absolutely no way it’s what they’re claiming it is. No way.

The 15” 2015s came with 16GB standard. This isn’t a 13”.

****ing finally, somebody on this thread with a shred of common sense. I thought I was going crazy.

It is not a legitimate serial number according to the Everymac.com lookup. I tried all letters and numbers for the character that is obscured by the mouse cursor.

Not for 2015, it's certainly a scam. At a minimum, the 2015 13" used 1866 MHz RAM with an Intel iris 6100 which meant up to 1536 MB of allocated RAM to be VRAM. The RAM could not be upgraded at all.
