Hi today my loved mid 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 15” (Serial C02QN3CMG8WP) struggled booting up. I took it to the Apple Store and after two hours there and several tests they said that it needed a logic board and they didn’t think it worthwhile as it would likely cost 400-500 GBP to replace and they would need to source the part from a third party supplier given that it’s a ten year old machine. I did a quick check and seeing some of these boards for sale for less than 100 pounds. Checking for any recommendations and the exact board I need if anyone can point me in the right right direction. Also any recommendations on who in London could change it or shall I do it myself? The machine is in great condition and it was capable of doing everything I wanted. I don’t mind spending a few hundred pounds to keep it going.

I purchased from there & installed for my A1278 MacBook Pro.
Worked a treat, but not for the faint hearted, took 2 hours to take old out & another 2 hours to put the replacement in.
No-one was more surprised than me when it booted up OK.

For the hassle involved I wouldn't bother replacing the system board as a complete running 2015 15” MacBook Pro is dirt cheap used. You don't need one with a big (or any) SSD as you can use the one in your existing MBP. This one is just £180 with free shipping https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/317397543779
