I have a Macbook Pro w Touch bar 2016 15 inch 2.7GHz 16 GB Ram

It's been 3 weeks and my computer is making a high pitched "zzz" noise that comes from the right side of the device near the right speaker. I have been using my computer for 7 months and I never heard that noise before. This noise is very quiet, it requires a very quiet room to hear it.

The sound is consistent as long as the computer is on. It is a very faint sound in the back right corner near the delete button. I even compared it to my brother's Macbook Pro who has exactly the same model and his computer is not making any sounds like mine.

I sent it to Apple Repair and they couldn't find anything. They said your computer passed the all tests and so on. Needless to mention that the computer works perfectly.

However, the sound is still there and it bothers me a lot because I didn't hear this noise before and it might be a serious problem in the future.

Do you have the same problem? or what could it be?

Thank you in advance

Those high pitch noises may be one or both of the fans is/are not spinning. It happens to me at random. Since I have an MBP 2011, I just open the bottom case and clean it myself.

Does it sound more like a fan noise or more like a speaker feedback noise?
Does this happen only when external devices or the power cord is connected, or does it happen on battery power with no devices as well?
Are any other electronic devices in close proximity to the system?

The next time it makes this sound, could you take a video for us? (This is also very useful when requesting service, as it provides the technicians with some sort of baseline if they cannot reproduce it or cannot hear it in the shop [as they can then increase the volume on the video file].)

Thank you very much for your reply. The sound is consistent as long as the computer is on and does't matter if I use the power cable. No electronic device either. I recorded the sound. Here is the link to listen:

I don't hear anything from the audio file you linked. At any rate, it's still possible that it's the fan, or maybe, your speaker/laptop is grounded. Do you have an AVR?

Sounds like the fan. My 15" sounded sort of like that, only with a lot more pronounced ticking noise, which gradually got worse. I sent it in and they replaced the fan.

Thank you very much, if it gets worse ...unfortunately i have to go to the genius guys of apple:)
