Macbook pro 2016 Touchbar 4k @60hz MacOS 10.12.1

Has anyone managed to get a 4k @60hz monitor working with the macbook pro 13inch 2016 using OSX 10.12.1?

I have tried almost every adapter from Amazon and Apple with no joy. I have a monitor with both Displayport 1.2 (mini and normal size) and 2* HDMI 2.0.

Would be interested to know if anyone has managed to get 4k @60hz working, without making any hacks to the OS

My 2016 13 is plugged into a Dell 4K screen using a $20 USB-c to display port cable from Amazon and I'm getting 60hz perfectly with no adjustments or tweaks anywhere.
