Macbook pro 2017 vs 2018

I'm new in this forum and also new in MacBook world (sorry I'm windows user trying to cross the world )

So, this year I trying to make decision to try mac environment. I'm a programmer so I need MacBook pro for programming. I read for several articles, programming in MacBook its comfortable and many big tech companies using MacBook as a default laptop for their employee to use.

I'm facing two series of MacBook pro. One in 2017 and 2018. Help me to decide which one better (in performance perspective off course, I need my MacBook running faster)

Ps. I buy second (used MacBook)

* Radeon Pro 555x
* CC 87

BONUS:

- Laptop Case

Let me help decide, which one better for me (from a performance perspective), Is it option A or B. Please share your thought and I need some advice from you and also the reason why you choose whether option a or b. Thank you once again.

2018 just cos of keyboard 4years warranty

2018 - better CPU, newer generation keyboard with larger battery, lower battery cycle count.. just so long as you can live with 256 GB drive

The only downside of the 2018 model you have listed is the 256GB internal drive. The CPU is way superior and there probably isn't much difference between the Radeon Pro 560 and the 555X. And GPU probably doesn't matter much for programming..?

2018 = 6 cores

So the 2018 will run hotter. No?
