Was working last night off the charger, closed the lid. This morning opened the lid and nothing, completely dead. Power button does nothing. Left it plugged in for an hour and it still wont turn on.

Tried resetting SMC and booting into recovery and nothing, black screen, no noise, no caps lock light.

Has anyone ran into something like this before? Any ideas?

Thanks

So after a day of being plugged in and completely unresponsive, this morning I took it off the charger opened the lid, hit the power button and it started right up, at 70% battery. Weird.

Just an update to anyone who may run into something similar. I brought the laptop into the store because I already had an appt scheduled. It was working when I dropped it off so they said they would run a software test on it. Everything came back OK but they decided to reinstall high sierra and said it was ready for pick up.

When I got to the store the rep could NOT get the computer to boot normally or into recovery, completely dead. Now it is being shipped out for service...
