I am lucky enough to have the following kit...
  • MacBook Pro 2018 15 inch
  • LG UltraFine Display 4K 22"
  • X-Rite ColorMunki Display
I am a photographer and need decent true colours. But am struggling to get a decent result from my calibrator.

My questions are...

  • Should I use/avoid true tone in the Mac OS X settings?

  • Should I stick to the out of the box colour settings; that in theory is decent with LG Ultra fine monitors and MacBooks.

  • Should get a newer calibrator?

Thanks, Jonny

Yes disable True Tone, and the profiles by default are already calibrated by Apple on both so should be your best bet.
