hi all

I’m going to upgrade my 2007 MacBook Pro this year and am looking at the touchbar 13 inch model

My question is - if a new mode is announced in June will the current model still be offered for a while at a reduced cost?

I could wait until this happens and save a few hundred potentially?

From Apple? Unlikely. From third party retailers? Yes, probably.

Don't forget Apple's own refurbished store, where everything comes with same warranty as new. In my experience of buying several things from there over the years, everything looks and feels brand new. Only difference is the box stuff comes in. https://www.apple.com/shop/browse/home/specialdeals/mac

There are trackers such as refurb.me to let you know when the config you want comes into stock.

Look at B&H Photo and Adorama.

Thanks all - I wanted to upgrade the ssd and in the U.K. it seems the 3rd party websites I’ve seen only stock the standard models.

So essentially it wouldn’t matter if I bought now directly from Apple or waited for the new model as I’d only be able to purchase the new model from Apple once it came out?

Buy refurbished you’ll save some money and won’t have to wait and they have all sorts of different refurb configurations on their UK website.
