So I have a question regarding the 13” 2019 MacBook Pro.

If you close the laptop on the desk, then lift it up 90 degrees so the hinge is still on the desk, should the lid/screen of the laptop slightly?

I’m just checking if my lid is loose or not. I only bought it 2 days ago.

Thanks everyone.

No, At least my both MBA 2018 I had for a while and MBP 2019 13" both close tightly and I feel some kind of magnet or rubber gasket making tight seal so that I have to use actually minor force to open the lid. It definitely does not open by itself in any position.

When you hold it closed, does the lid sit tightly against the lower chassis? If not maybe it is adjusted wrong or there is some malformed parts. Any signs of battery swelling or similar when you check the lower chassis with the ruler, that could cause also some issues with the lid?

One of the reasons I returned my 13 / 2019 - if if I lifted the lid when it was shut, the whole computer lifted off the table.
