Hi,

I am having connectivity issues with my Macbook Pro 13" i5 from 2020. When I connect the laptop to my Thunderbolt Display 27" the USB ports and the Ethernet port built into the display are not detected unless I restart the laptop. Its inconvenient to restart the laptop every time I want to use the built in ports of the display.

The adapter is the official Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2.

My previous Macbook Pro 15" from 2015 worked just fine.

¿Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Thank you.

Ok, This is weird. If I connect the display to the ports in the right the ethernet and USB are detected. If I detach and plug in again in any of the right side thunderbolt ports, USB and Ethernet port built in are not detected, however I I plug in the display to the ports in the left of the laptop then everything work again and USB and Ethernet work...

Also the computer is crashing from time to time. "Intel CrashLog recorded due to unexpected reset"

Ok I updated to 12.3 Beta 5 and everything is working fine now. Apple really need to work on QA.

Experiencing the same thing here on a MacBook Pro - 13-inch, 2020 model, running macOS Montery 12.2.1

@juan985_Spain - Hopefully you can post an update that you've had full success in over a week of testing unplugging/undocking with a USB-C/Thunderbolt dock!

This issue was fixed when I updated to 12.3!
