Hey guys,

Probably I am just being sensitive to such an expensive item, just wanna share some things to see if you guys have the same experience.

I got the new MacBook Pro 14 last week. Everything is good except the keyboard. I got two things to complain about:

  1. Keyboard backlight leaking. I did some search and found it's quite normal. So I just turn the backlight off.
  2. When I press the left "Command" key, it feels like pressing on cotton, the key response is sticky and soft. Unlike other keys, the response is quite normal and consistent.
Wondering do you guys have a similar experience? Or am I just being sensitive?

I was planning to return and purchase again, but am concerned about this issue is quite consistent.

Thanks!

Keyboard backlight leakage is very much dependent on the angle you're looking from. If you want to use it but it bothers you, try propping up the back (there are things designed for this, but it's easy to improvise) and see if that works.

My command key (on a 16" with the same keyboard) feels like all the others. Yours might have something under it. I haven't seen whether anyone has experimented with removing keys for cleaning on the new keyboards yet.
