So thinking ahead - we will get a macbook with face ID. It's coming likely in 2023.

Many of us who just bought our new 2021's would you consider selling?

Anyone else holding out for this update with FaceID?

I’m not as interested in having Face ID in a computer as I am a mobile device.

The fingerprint ID is working really well on the new 2021. It's fast and accurate, far better than the fingerprint ID on my old ipad, and I see no reason to change just for a new login method.

I'll get it when I need a new laptop, not because I need face ID.

No, I wouldn’t sell. The 16” is already more than I need currently and I’m not really a fan of Face ID for the computer. Touch ID works perfectly well. For my use—currently, I can’t imagine what new features would be introduced to make it tempting. I guess we’ll wait and see.

I do agree with you though, I also think the next upgrade cycle will be in 2023.

Oh, they'll come up with something! :)

There is no point in Face ID, I can already unlock my MacBook Pro with my Apple Watch after hitting any keys on the login screen or flipping open my screen. It is simply no need to touch the Touch ID at all.
