Hi, I have a MacBook Pro 9,2 i5 13 inch and my fan connector on the logic board doesn't work. The fan is in perfect condition and I saw that in the logic board has another connector that is the same but for the speaker, the question is if I can use it to power the fan ?
I think the answer is no so in this case can I use the Mac without the fan?
Thanks and sorry for my English

I do not believe that you can use the other connection for your fan as the power sent through it is different than that of the fan connector. I would suggest cleaning that area really well (the connection) and then try it again. I would not advise using the MacBook without any fans as it will most likely burn up pretty quick. If you really want to keep this particular MacBook, I would look into replacing the logic board with a used good one. Good luck.
