I want to buy the macbook pro $2500 version, but I think Im going to wait until OSX 10.5 comes out.

I just have a few questions, since Im new to apple.

When does OSX 10.5 come out?
Is there any chance of an 8600m gt w/512mb ram or better video card coming out for macbook pro? Cause 256 mb seems old.

Im not buying the mbp for gaming reasons, however I would still like to ocasionally boot into windows mode to play a few games.

So would it be able to play these games:

Halo 2
Counter Strike Source
Bioshock
Battlefield 2
Halflife 2 / Episode 1 / And Episode 2
Portal
Team fortress two
Command and conquer 3

???

All we know on the 10.5 release is "sometime in October".

As far as gaming machines, (and I hate to admit this), Macs arent that great. You are going to be limited on hardware - which helps ensure compatibility, but brings down some of the available power in individual components. Thats why you will find that most of the Mac community games on consoles (XBOX360 & PS3). That is... until Apple brings out their gamin console (sshhhh!) ;)
