Seems like every base 13" MBP is affected. Some Apple store employees have reported over the phone that some 2.53 GHZ 13" MBPs have the correct 3 Gbit/s connection but that hasn't been physically verified by any of the users here.
I just read in that thread that this is the speed at which the data can be sent through the cable from my harddrive to my computer. However its later stated that the harddrive is limited to 80 or 90 megabytes per second, so technically, is there a big deal other than those planning to use SSD's or such?
No - please don't worry, I mean that from all the reviews of battery life and screen the 13" and refreshed 15" are getting fantastic reviews! I am typing on an "old" UBMBP and have been reading loads of posts and as many reviews as I can find to help me decide if I should sell the one I have for a newer one. I don't want this to turn into a should I/shouldn't I thread as it's your thread and you posted just to say hey I've got a new machine that I really enjoy. So enjoy it - from what I am reading it's already a classic, sounds like Apple have an absolute winner!
