so i recently got a used macbook pro mid 2009 but it seems that only about 9 keys light up only in the center. The keyboard lights up but its really dim even at full light is there any way to replace the keyboard or the light? if i buy a replacement keyboard will it work? or do you guys have any ideas? Thank You

You can just replace the keyboard yes, but it is a massive procedure. You would need to take everything out of the MBP. THis link shows you how to get everything out. You wont need to remove the trackpad and the display though so dont bother with that. Though im guessing you are in the US so you probably need a US based seller. Sadly I dont know any, have a search in google for one.
 
thank you so much! i was not sure if the keyboard actually came with the backlit it is a very difficult task but it will have to do. I also found a OEM keyboard on ebay for $38:). Just have to wait till i get it in
