so i recently got a used macbook pro mid 2009 but it seems that only about 9 keys light up only in the center. The keyboard lights up but its really dim even at full light is there any way to replace the keyboard or the light? if i buy a replacement keyboard will it work? or do you guys have any ideas? Thank You

Never seen anything like that before! :D
You can just replace the keyboard yes, but it is a massive procedure. You would need to take everything out of the MBP. THis link shows you how to get everything out. You wont need to remove the trackpad and the display though so dont bother with that. Also dont mind the last several steps where they resinstall the trackpad.

Have a look here for replacement keyboards:
Though im guessing you are in the US so you probably need a US based seller. Sadly I dont know any, have a search in google for one.

It probably got wet, that is usually the cause of this.
