Ok so I picked up my Late 2009 macbook pro 13inch base model last week.

It finally got here yesterday.

I just checked Coconut Battery.

Battery-Loadcycles:2
Age of your mac:2 months.

Yesterday Battery Capacity (MAX):100% 5549 mAh
TODAY max capacity is 98% 5353 mAh.

What the **** is that about?

now it just refreshed and went back to 99% 5397 mAh. odd.

What is the deal?

As with all the hundreds of other threads regarding that issue:

don't worry. Calibrate and use the battery, sometimes the battery health and maximum capacity are not shown 100% correctly.

If you would use MRoogle you find those threads I talked about.

Since it's literally brand new. I was charging it yesterday for a little (had to goto work so i unplugged it). Today I finished charging it, it was fully charged. Left it plugged in for TWO hours. Then unplugged it and am using it fully. Then when it powers down I will let it un charged for FIVE hours (i'll be in bed anyways). This is per apple's site about calibrating the battery.
