Macbook pro battery problem

My macbook pro can't be turned on when it plug in, while it can if I plug it in after I take off the battery. I guess there is some problems about the battery. I intend to have a replacing one. I have ordered this battery A1175 10.8V 5800mAh Rechargeable Li-ion Battery Pack. I realized that I may make a wrong order. Is this compatible with MC976CH/A. Is it reasonable if I want to return the item?

you should buy one which matches your mac model. I don't think this one is suitable.
