Anyone knows if the new macbook pro has any smart circuitry to prevent over-charging the unremovable battery when it is fully charged?

It most definitely does, and IIRC at the last event where they talked about teh 17" MBP, it's one step beyond the removable battery's technology, not positive though.

    Thanks for the reply.

Are there any proof? Any statement or link from the apple website?

The proof was in the keynote where they debuted the 17" Unibody's specs. Plus, if the unibodies with removable batteries have it, why would they take it out of the "improved" batteries? (yeah yeah, they did it with FW for the MB, but whatev :p )

You can look around Apple's website and see if you find something, you don't need us to get you the link ;)

I could not find such information on the apple website, that is why I asked. People state that there might be, hence the asking.
