Macbook Pro black screen with random text

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could help me.

My Macbook pro 2010 was working fine yesterday, then today when I turn it on, it does the start up chime, but then goes to a black screen with loads of random text and a message over the top saying restart computer.

Is there any way I can fix this!? And does anyone know what might be causing the issue.

Did you power down and try starting it back up, does it boot back into OSX after that?
