anyways, getting this fixed for 800 - 1000 is a joke and I'm better off flying to NY and buying one there. in aruba they cost 800 dollars more...

also, maybe dual booting with MS 7 broke it!! lol

with regard to getting my stuff off my HD, i dont have another MAC, only PC, does anyone know at what stage of the boot up process does a mac send out DHCPREQUEST? im thinking i can connect two of them via xover

The HD in your Mac is a standard SATA one, so you can just get it out and connect it to your PC. Then you install the trial version of Paragon's HFS+ for Windows driver and copy all your stuff over to the PC. ;)

What cabling do i need to connect to my MS laptop???
thanks in advance?

You need to get an external enclosure for a SATA laptop hard drive. You can get these enclosures with either USB 2, USB 3, Firewire 400, Firewire 800, or eSATA ports. Some have a combination of the various ports. You need one that will work with your PC laptop, ie, if your PC only has USB 2, you need one with USB 2 etc. They usually include the necessary cables.
