    Hi,

I have an early 2011 13' Macbook Pro and I realised the other day that the bottom case is misshapen. I have no idea why but I can see it is no longer straight when I look at it. Anything I can do to reshape it?

I'd recommend taking it to an Apple Store or other Apple authorized repair center to have it be checked out. It sounds like the bottom is warped somehow, and they would most likely replace the panel under warranty.

Unless you can make a pretty good case that the computer was like that when you bought it, I doubt they will do anything at all. It's been nearly a year, so you're going to have a tough time convincing them that this was a factory defect. Warping, twists, dents, etc are not warranty issues.

Still, doesn't hurt to try. If you're unsuccessful bottom case parts are widely available. I sold one on eBay a few months ago for around $25. Ten screws hold it on. Check www.ifixit.com for details.
