Macbook Pro Charger Not Working

I own a 5 month old macbook pro charger that as simply stopped working. The only thing i can think of is that it shorted out. I had noticed it getting unusually warm, more so than usual. My question is, will apple take it back as defective since i did nothing to it, or will i have to fork over the near 80 dollars for a new one?

I would expect Apple to replace it. Make a Genius appointment at your nearest store.

Thanks for the response. Does it matter if the charger was purchased at best buy, and not from apple directly?

Probably not, although Apple could perhaps tell you to return it there. Most likely if you don't tell the Genius that then he/she'll just swap it.
