Dear Visitors,

I started to use my new MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015, 2.5 GHz) model 2 days ago and I had a few questions about it.

Previously I had MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2012) model.

First of all, the speakers sound different to me in the 2015 model, I think they sound better in the 2012 model. I have a feeling now that the sound comes from a closed box, not so clear like it was on the 2012 model. Is it normal? Did Apple change the speakers in the newer models? The 2012 sounds awesome.

I know that the 2012 model hates Flash videos or streams, especially when it comes to Chrome. The fans go real loud and the machine is very hot.

I hoped that in the new 2015 model it will change (because of newer logic board and so on), but my new machine still hates Flash in Chrome and the fans go loud in short time. Is it normal? I am a little disappointed because I thought I won't experience these things in my new laptop.

I am not an expert in hardware topics, sorry for my questions, I just want to be sure that my new laptop is ok and these symptoms are normal.

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

ptrmrf

The fans in the 2015 15" still rev up when using Flash in any browser. The fans were so annoying one day when I was converting nine seasons of a TV show to use in iTunes that I stopped after an hour and ran them through my Mac Mini instead. It's pretty normal on the MBP.

Hardware changes over time, but you are the first person I know of that prefers the old speakers if you think there is an issue take it to apple and get them to have a listen, or take them into a shop and compare to a display model.

The flash chrome issues are purely down to the coding for these things for OSX and beyond apples control, switch to safari and use click to flash which will run in HTML 5 where it can, also use adblock to block all the random flash ads seen everywhere on the web.

This is the problem, I don't know if they sound the way they should be or not, this is why I'm curious for your opinion. There isn't any Apple store here, only 2 hours of drive away. For my ears, the 2012 Retina model sounds better. Thank you though! ;)

There is no way we can tell you wether they sound any good we are in no position to judge it only you can do that.

I know, I just thought maybe someone has the same models like I do and can tell me his/her own experience. :)
