    ...and bought a baseline 15" i5 w/ hi-res matte screen this morning.

I did not do very much with it today (very heavy workload at my job plus a family at home), but my first impressions are very good.

The screen is gorgeous, much better than the horrible screen on my white MacBook and it seems to be amazingly fast (well, this might be due to Safari 5 on the i5 vs. Firefox on my MacBook).

I was not very happy when I went out of the store, as EUR 1800,- is a rather huge amount of money, but I start to think that it is worth it...

A worthy successor to the Titanium Powerbook indeed...

PS: This purchase made me log-in again since years of just lurking... Macrumors sure has come a long way...

I'm enjoying the heck out of my new MBP. I hope you enjoy yours as much.

For a second I thought you meant you couldn't stand your MBP anymore. I was going to say good luck finding a better notebook... :p
