I got this deal for a MBP with a cracked screen and a keyboard, I'm going to assume the owner put a pen and closed the lid. Anyways I saw a replacement lcd for $150 on ebay plus the keyboard $38. I think I can get the Mac for pretty cheap. My question is, is it safe to replace a broken screen? And, where is the best/cheapest source to get these parts?

Thanks in advance.

I'm still talking about prices, the Macbook turns on but I can't get video out to a TV. Does this mean the logic board is damaged or anything? And it wasn't a pen as I suspected, some how a golf ball hit the keyboard and bounced to the screen breaking it so I'm assuming the board got hit too. What do you guys think ? I think I can get this for like 200-300. Still I don't want to risk myself buying the parts just to find out the logic board is damaged, since I can't get video-out.
