Hello. My fair new macbook pro does alot of cracking noises everytime I touch it. Mostly when I tip the screen up or down. Its a 15''. Everyone I know, who has 13'' doesnt do it. Anyone else noticed this before?

My Air does this too. Actually, a lot of people's Airs seem to do that. Some reported that tightening the screws on the bottom of the laptop helped. It's annoying in a way, but not nearly as annoying as it was at first. Worst case scenario, you'll get used to it. (yes, I understand that's not a pleasant thought)

My 15" does it too sometimes. More of a "creak" than a crack, and almost always when typing on a non-hard surface.

Maybe we're not talking about the same thing but my 13" made a clicking noise when I opened and closed the screen. All I had to do was place the hinge at the back in the exact middle and not to the left or the right. Even though we're talking about 1mm or 2 it has never made that clicking sound since.

The black piece of plastic under the screen.
