macbook pro damaged keys

Hi There

I purchased a second hand 2018 macbook pro and some of the keys are ‘worn’ is this a defect and are the part of any recall. based in republic of ireland. As i bought it second hand am i entitled to get it fixed if there is a recall on it?

There is no “Recall” or extension program that covers keycaps being worn. There is this program that covers certain functional issues, that you might be eligible for if you’re experiencing any of those.

I understand individual keycaps can be replaced.
Even can be done yourself, but with some risk of permanent damage.
