Macbook Pro Dilema

I can get a 2018 13" with touchbar, 256gb and 4 thunderbolt ports for $1299 or possibly $1199 with student discount or the base 2019 13" Pro for $1169. I'm leaning towards the increased storage and more ports. What do you guys think? Performance difference in the processors?
 
Very little difference in CPU performance for bursty usage, although the 2018 will likely be able to burst for longer periods under heavy continual loads.

The 2018 has 50% faster wifi, slightly faster SSD and graphics. And as you say, more ports. I'd take the 2018 out of those two.
 
Thanks for the advice! I got the 2018. The extra ports and 256gb storage one me over. Everything else is gravy!

I'll take the 2018 for 1199, Alex.

You'll like the extra ports and storage.
You won't notice the CPU differences.
