Macbook pro dim screen flicker

I know people have been complaining about screen flicker but I am not sure it is the same problem that I have been having. The screen only flickers when the display dims right before it is about to sleep. Is this normal? The screen is fine during normal use.

i've got exactly the same problem and my macboot didn't boot some minutes ago.. i think i'll send it back,....

By screen flicker do you mean waves that go up and down the screen (similar to a dying fluorescent tube light)? ...If so, I have the same thing on my MacBook.

Did you order the glossy screen for you MBP?

I have noticed the same wave/flicker in my Macbook -- but only when the screen is dimmed right before it goes to sleep.
