Macbook Pro Disc Drive

I just got a brand new 13-inch Macbook Pro and i realised that the foam that protects my disc drive has a few splits vertically, like not the one that separates the two of them, are they supposed to be there?? And if they aren't, is it possible for me to fix it and how??

You could go to the Apple store and ask them to replace the drive.

In reality, I bet it's fine.
