Macbook Pro dock issue

Hey, hope this is the right place to ask this.

I have a HP 120W G2 dock, and am using it with my Macbook Pro and Odyssey G9. The monitor is 5120x1440, when I connect my macbook directly to the monitor, there are no issues. But when I connect to my dock, my macbook wont let me select higher than 3840x1080. I am not sure what the issue is, I know the dock is capable of full resolution and I have it working with a windows device. The same cable is working directly so I am not sure why it wouldn't be working with the dock.


Anyone have any ideas?
