Macbook Pro doesnt boot up after updating Mountain Lion

Hello guys,

I have a big problem after updating to Mountain Lion. I updated the OS successfully. After updating I did restart my Macbook and it wont start up. It got stuck on gray screen with spinning wheel forever. Please help. 🙁

Well then try reinstalling it...

I do not have back up of all data, THAT IS the problem. 😕

Lesson learnt the hard way - ALWAYS back up your Mac, especially before an OS upgrade.

Well, this sucks. I felt like being cheated. I purchased the copy and wasted all my money. It was working fine. 🙁

There is always a risk of something going wrong when updating an OS, which is why you should back up your data. Sorry I know thats not what you want to hear.

If you're stuck, there's only one thing to do.

Hold down power button until the machine powers down. Press it again but hold the OPTION key. If the partition window appears, choose the one you "hope" still has all your crap.
