i had put my MacBook to sleep. Got up the next day and it won’t turn on.
It wasn’t plugged to power.
When I plug it to power now the MagSafe light stays amber does not turn green.

I tried holding power on button and SMC Reset. Nothing seems to happen.

What could be the issue?

Keep it plugged in for at least a day, the battery might have drained below the fake 0% cutoff that is designed to protect the battery. If that is the case then it can take 24-48 hours to charge the battery to 1%.

Do you think there is a possibility that your magsafe burst its fuse? So your mac is actually 100% drained and then won't turn on and at the same time is not charging because the charger is dead?

Do you have another charger to test on your mac? Or another mac to test the charger?

I don’t. I will see if i can find another charger. But i usually put my MagSafe plugged in a surge protector adapter.
Visually the MagSafe looks fine. And it gives continuous amber light when connected to MacBook

Tried with other MagSafe charger. The same story

With this said, it really could be your logic board. Sorry that you need to go through this. Why don't you bring it in to have it checked?
