So I bought the 1TB SSD from OWC for my MacBook Pro Retina Early 2015 to upgrade from 128GB. After I installed it and turned it on, it could not find the drive, only the bootable USB I had plugged in. The drive was NOT as easy of a "direct replacement" as I thought, had to struggle to get it in, which I thought was strange enough. I feel like I am missing something or something isn't right. Please help 😂😭. I have all of my devices, this one, to update and not enough storage.

If I'm posting on the wrong page, help with that would be appreciated😂

OWC SSD's for your machine tend to get really hot and die pretty quickly in my experience. I would advise you to get an Samsung M2 and use an adapter, although thats not full proof either, it's the better option in my experience.....

If you went to the "Upgrading 2013/2014 MacBook Pro SSD to M.2 NVMe" thread there is good info regarding which M.2 NVMe drive to use on your 2015 Retina MBP. I have been using the Samsung drives and have had no issues at all. I have a 2015 13inch Macbook Pro Retina and am currently using a 512GB 970PRO M.2 storage drive and have no issues. In order to use the M.2 drives you will also need to source the Syntech adapter and it should be plug and play from that point...

This is the link to the thread I mentioned:

Here is a link to a Syntech adapter:

There is a lot of good information regarding use of NVMe M.2 drives in this thread. I suggest you take the time to read thru this thread. :apple:
